Shannon Goessling  How Do We Protect Constitutional Rights?

About this talk

While we look to the government to protect individual rights, sometimes it is appropriate to challenge government initiatives because they trod on rights instead of protect them.  How do private sector organizations like Southeastern Legal seek to curb government actions that trespass on individual and business rights?  How does this help the economy?

About Shannon Goessling

Shannon is Executive Director and Chief Legal Counsel for Southeastern Legal Foundation, one of the nation’s leading public interest law firms founded in 1976. She was the 2002 GOP nominee and candidate for Georgia Attorney General.  A former public servant, Shannon worked as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in metro Atlanta, prosecuting crimes against women and children.
